STAR WARS Episodes II and III 3D will be Released in 2013

Lucasfilm has officially announced that Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith will be released in theaters in 3D back-to-back on September 20th, 2013 and October 11th, 2013.

I didn't waste my money on seeing Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace in 3D when it came out. That movie ended up making $102.7 million dollars world wide. I think the franchise isn't going to see any big money from the 3D releases until the studio releases the original trilogy. I'm a big fan of Star Wars, but I won't be spending anymore money on the movies... until the original trilogy gets released. That's something I'm actually kind of looking forward to.

Do you think you'll ended up spending money on seeing episodes II and III in 3D? Are you at least a little excited that we are a bit closer to seeing the original trilogy get re-released?
