Presidential Speech that was Prepared if the 1969 Moon Landing Failed

Did you know the President of the United States had a speech ready to deliver to the world just in case the 1969 moon landing ended up in disaster? There was a big chance that Neil Armstrong and Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin could have gotten stuck on the moon. It's something we don't really think about now because we all know it was a success. Unless, you're one of those people that think the moon landing was faked by director Stanley Kubrick. 

So here's the speech that would have been delivered if Armstrong and Aldrin never made it back to earth. It's an interesting piece of history that I thought you might like to see. It's a moving speech, and it's a good thing the it never had to be delivered.
