First Clips from THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES with Ryan Gosling
Two film clips have been released for The Place Beyond the Pines, a film written and directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine). It also has a great cast that is sure to make you want to see it, those actors include Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Greta Gerwig, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Ali Mahershalalhasbaz, Gabe Fazio, Max Martini and Emory Cohen.
In the film Gosling plays "a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, but when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Cooper) their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud." Gosling might just be one of the most badass actors working right now.
This looks and sounds like it going to make a great movie. It's described as "a rich dramatic thriller, tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains." The movie premiered at TIFF, and most of the reviews have been pretty enthusiastic. The movie is set to be released in early 2013, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
