DEAD SPY RUNNING Gets a Writer and Director

Warner Bros. is looking to get a big screen adaptation of Jon Stock's novel Dead Spy Running into production. The studio has hired Adam Wingard (V/H/S) to direct and his partner Simon Barrett to rewrite the script. they are looking to fast track the film into production.

The story follows a character named Danny Marchant, "a young DJ on the rise in the international world of electronic dance music. Danny is forced to go on the run with a beautiful secret agent assigned to watch him after he is framed for his MI6 agent father’s murder. As Danny tries to clear his name and avenge his father’s death, he gets deeper into the world of espionage while never forgetting his background and skills as a DJ. Danny must ultimately rise up and defeat a terrorist intent on destroying western civilization in an adventure that takes him through the world to London, Paris, Corsica, New York, and Mumbai."

Does Marchant fight the terrorists with his electronic dance music DJ skills? I don't know much about the writer and director the studio chose to direct this movie, but I love V/H/S, and that's enough to spark some kind of excitement in me about this movie. Does this sound like it would make a good movie?
