Clint Eastwood Jokes About Directing THE EXPENDABLES 3
We've heard rumors that Clint Eastwood is wanted for a role in The Expendables 3, along with Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and Harrison Ford. When Eastwood was asked about it in a recent interview with Extra he said,
I haven't read any material, probably not.
From what I understand the script hasn't even been written yet. A third Expendables film will eventually happen though. As the conversation continued Eastwood went on to say,
I'm probably more apt to direct.... Maybe I'll direct Expendables 3.
He's obviously joking... at least I think he's joking, but it's something that would be pretty freakin' cool to see! I'd love to see what Eastwood would do with a franchise like this. I enjoyed the most recent installment, it was definitely way better than the first film, and I'd be down for a third one. Especially if it was directed by Eastwood, who obviously won't be co-starring in it.
