Will Peter Jackson Direct a DOCTOR WHO Episode?!

Wouldn't it be insanely awesome if Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson ended up directing an episode of Doctor Who? Well, it looks like there's a possibility it could actually happen! Matt Smith recently did an interview with The Waikato Times in which he said,

Let's get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there. There’s clearly a great film industry out there. It’s something I would be very interested in, it’s just whether we can persuade the producers to fly us all over.

Sure, it's one thing to want something, but what does Jackson think about directing a Doctor Who episode in his backyard of New Zealand? The site reached out to Jackson, and asked him about it, and here is his response...

I’m a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think Matt’s fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I’ll be there!

Hell yeah! It would be crazy if producers of the show don't jump on this opportunity! Doctor Who writer/producer Steven Moffat has worked with Jackson in the past, on The Adventures of Tintin. Would you like to see Jackson take on an episode of this awesome sci-fi series?!
