Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore To Adapt A KNIGHT'S TALE for TV

Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore is set to develop an interesting new TV series based on the 2001 Heath Ledger film A Knight's Tale. Moore wrote the the series and it was just picked up by ABC from Sony Pictures TV.

I've enjoyed the TV series that Moore has created and worked on over the years, but I'm not sure what to think about this latest project. I wasn't a big fan of the movie that it's based on, but maybe Moore has a way of making it cool. But according to Deadline the series will stay close to the same premise and style of the movie. It will be a medieval fantasy series based in the 14th century set in the world of jousting. The story centers on a young man who starts out impersonating a knight of the realm and ends up becoming one. It will also incorporate modern music.

Moore will executive produce the project along with the film’s writer-director-producer Brian Helgeland. Hopfully they'll be able to bring audiences a solid story with great writing and some awesome production value.
