Jake Gyllenhaal to Join Hugh Jackman in PRISONERS

Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to join Hugh Jackman in the Denis Villeneuve-directed thriller Prisoners. Gyllenhaal recently starred in the movie End of Watch that opened up this last weekend. If you haven't seen it yet you should, it was a pretty badass cop drama.

Prisoners centers on a small-town carpenter named Keller (Jackman) whose young daughter and best friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Keller takes the law into his own hands, but in the process runs up against the big city detective assigned to the case.

According to THR, if Gyllenhaal takes the role he would play the detective investigating the kidnappings who butts heads with the carpenter. I think Gyllenhaal's a great actor, and End of Watch is definitely one of the best things that he's done. My four favorite films of his are October Sky, Zodiac, Donnie Darko and End of Watch.

I think Prisoners sounds like a great project for him to take on, but what do you think? What are your favorite Gyllenhaal movies?
