Barry Sonnenfeld to Direct Dwayne Johnson in LORE

Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld is in talks with Warner Bros. to direct a big screen adaptation of the graphic novel Lore with Dwayne Johnson. The comic was created by Ashley Wood, and the story follows a secret order that defends the world against creatures thought to be mythological, but they actually exist.

The story has the same tone as Men in Black, so Sonnenfeld seems like a great choice to take it on. As for Johnson... he just does what he does. What do you think about Sonnenfeld taking on this mythological creature project?

Here's a synopsis from the publisher:

In times past, the world was full of mythical creatures, creatures long since banished and held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the generational line of Shepherds is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from every quarter. And the creatures are coming back…

Now, IDW presents this Premiere Edition of Lore, written by T.P. Louise and acclaimed artist Ashley Wood. Primarily a prose tale, Wood provides panel and spot illustrations that help bring this story to life. Lore Premiere Edition collects the entire six issues of this unique and mystical series, along with a gallery of artwork from Wood, all within a handsome hardcover.
