THE MASTER - New NSFW Film Clip

VideosMovie by Joey Paur

A new clip has been released for Paul Thomas Anderson's great looking film The Master, and it's definitely Not Safe For Work. The clip, which is much more vulgar than anything else we've seen from the movie, was released to promote a benefit screening of the film at The Alamo Drafthouse Ritz location in downtown Austin, TX.

The scene you're about to watch features Joaquin Phoenix‘s character, Freddie Quell, taking a Navy psych evaluation. He's basically telling a doctor what he sees in a series of inkblot cards, and he pretty much sees the same thing in every image he looks at. It tells us a lot about what's going on this character's mind all of the time.

The story is set in America in the years following World War II. A charismatic man returns home to America from World War II and forms a faith-based organization. He is now known as "the Master" and his belief system is catching on. As the group is gaining momentum and adding new converts, a young drifter arrives and becomes the Master’'s invaluable aid.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Symour Hoffman, Jesse Plemons, David Warshofsky, Amy Adams, and Rami Malek. The movie gets a limited release on September 14th, and will expand to other theaters on September 21st. Check out the clip, and hit us up with your thoughts on this movie! Are you looking forward to it?
