STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS - 100th Episode Promo Trailer

Now that Disney owns Lucasfilm, the fate of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars has yet to be seen. I'm sure they'll keep it going, it will just most likely end up on one of Disney's cable channels. The series has been awesome, and it's getting better and better. Let's hope that Disney doesn't mess with the creative talent behind this series, because I'm going to be pissed if they do what they did with Marvel Animation.

This Saturday, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will air its 100th episode on the Cartoon Network, which is quite an awesome milestone for a sci-fi fantasy series. To give you a little perspective on that, Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek never even made it into the magic three digit numbers. This has just become such a spectacular and entertaining show, that Star Wars fans can enjoy. It's one of the few animated series being made these days that I love watching with my kids.

Thanks to Entertaiment Weekly we have a great five-minute promo trailer celebrating the 100th episode of the series! I love how this promo trailer opens up with the scene from A New Hope where Obi Wan is telling Luke about Anakin and the Old Republic. Click on the image below to watch it!

From the press release:

Given the series' title and its backdrop of galactic warfare, Star Wars: The Clone Wars often focuses on the valiant and tireless clone troopers tasked to defend the Republic from darkness. The vivid personalities of these soldiers often challenge many assumptions about the nature of clones, and has created a roster of individual heroes. This tradition continues in the 100th broadcast episode, "Missing in Action," with the intriguing addition of Gregor, a Republic clone commando suffering from amnesia who has seemingly forgotten his true nature.
