THE WALKING DEAD Video Game: Curious About What Telltale Is Working On For Season 2?

If you’re like me (and the countless other people) who loved Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead, then you're probably super anxious for Season 2 to come out. Now we don’t have an exact timeframe on when the next season will be released, but we do have some info about what the studio is working on currently… game saves.

I should probably go ahead and put up a huge SPOILER WARNING for anyone who has not played Season 1 yet, because what follows will talk about that.

So if you have played the game, then you know that one of the big features is the fact that every action you make affects how the story plays out. But what about when Season 2 rolls around? How will the story you have played thus far carry over to the new season? Well that’s the primary focus right now for Telltale, and they want to get it perfect for all the gamers.

Speaking with Red Bull, Telltale CEO and Co-Founder Dan Connors had this to say:

“Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two. This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over.”

At the end of Season 1, we found out the fate of the main character Lee Everett. We also got a glimpse of how Clementine, who has been by Lee’s side throughout the entire game, is maturing and taking in this new zombie world the best way she can.

The big question would be, WHY is this Telltale’s primary concern right now? Well just think, with Everett now dead who will be the main character of Season 2? It would have to be Clementine of course! I mean why else would they be that concerned about bringing over the game saves of the previous season? That game save holds all of the previous conversations and overall life that transpired between Lee and Clementine. Of course all of that will heavily play into what happens in Season 2, and will more than likely make it an even better game.

But there is another thing that could happen. Remember towards the end of the final episode, Omid and Christa went on to look for Clementine. Now also remember at the very end of the episode we had a blurry far away image of two shadowy figures walking around. Could that be them? Could the next main character be Omid or Christa, of course with Clemetine by their side? Or will Clementine just turn into zombie bait?

Either way, they better have Clemetine grow up and mature a lot in this upcoming season. Because we all know we do not want another Carl on our hands!
