Christopher Nolan in Talks to Direct Time Travel Film INTERSTELLAR
Christopher Nolan may have found his next directing project. THR reports Nolan is in talks to helm the sci-fi film Interstellar, which was penned by his brother Jonathan Nolan. The story is based on scientific theories developed by Cal Tech physicist, Kip Thorne, and follows "a group of explorers [who] travel through a wormhole."
Apparently the complex negotiations have been in the works for months, but a final deal has not been reached. The project is set up at Paramount, but is being made by both Paramount and Warner Bros., so if a deal is finalized Nolan would feel right at home. He has directed the Batman Trilogy as well as Insomnia and Inception there under his Syncopy banner.
Steven Spielberg was once on board to direct, but has since stepped aside. It is not known if Spielberg will still be involved. We will keep you posted on this story as it develops. This sounds like a fantastic project for Nolan to be involved in.
