Kotobukiya Jubilee and Starfire Bishoujo Art - NYCC 2013
Lots of announcements are coming out of NYCC this year, but 2 of the ones I'm most excited about are the new announcements from Kotobukiya. 2 new pieces of concept art have emerged as part of their DC and Marvel Bishoujo lines of statues, featuring fan favorites Starfire and Jubilee. Starfire looks gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but JUBILEE! I think Shunya Yamashita knocked that one out of the park. Yes, he shortened the jacket, but she definitely looks as if she stepped out of a mall in America today, though let's hope it goes better than her last outing in a mall. You know... 'cuz sentinels and stuff. Hopefully Koto will add some nice shimmer to her light sparks as well. Starfire is beautiful, but I'm not as in love with the pose--just a bit too sexualized for me. Looking forward to seeing some sculpts from these soon.
