Anyone Want a FRIDAY THE 13TH Found Footage Film?
I'll admit I'm a little surprised that we haven't seen a sequel to the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot. I thought the movie sucked, but it did pretty well at the box office. Instead of a sequel though, it looks like we're going to get an even crappier reboot. According to Ryan Turek from Shock Till You Drop, producers of the franchise want to give it a found footage makeover.

Meh... that just sounds like a terrible idea. But the studio can make it a lot cheaper, and potentially make a bigger profit. I'm just not on board with resorting to making it a part of the found footage genre. I'm not even sure how well it will work in the dark unless the they use night vision, which could get annoying.
Jason Voorhees is a horror icon, and he shouldn't be downgraded to a found footage film. Why not just make a really cool, well-made, kick-ass Friday the 13th movie?!
