Downton Abbey Star Dan Stevens to Join A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES

Movie Liam Neeson by Joey Paur

Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens is looking to join the upcoming thriller A Walk Among the Tombstones. There's no information on the part he'll be playing, but he will be joining Liam Neeson, who was previously cast in the film.

Neeson will pay a former NYPD cop named Matt Scudder, who's now an unlicensed private eye and a recovering alcoholic haunted by past mistakes. He's hired to find the kidnapped wife of a drug dealer, and to do so he operates outside the law to track down the kidnappers. While on his journey he discovers that their have been multiple kidnappings and brutal murders.

The book was adapted by Scott Frank, and I'm sure Neeson and Stevens will be great in the film. It sounds like it could be pretty intense.

Here's a short description from the book:

A ruthless, ingenious pair of entrepreneurial monsters is preying on the loved ones of those who live outside the law. Though he has no love for drug dealers and poison peddlers, ex-cop-turned-p.i. Matthew Scudder now must help them put two thrill-kill extortionists out of business -- before another drop of innocent blood is spilled.
