ANCHORMAN 2 Takes The News Team To New York

It's so cool that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is actually happening, and that the whole gang is coming back for more hijinks. Director Adam McKay recently talked to Empire about the film, and revealed a few more details that were previously unknown, like how the story will be taking the news team to New York.

San Diego is too close to Ron's heart to go away, but we feel that New York City is the holy grail for all newsmen.

Now the film is set in the late '70s so it's going to be cool to see a '70s style New York. I'm sure that McKay and the rest of the gang will have fun with it. He goes on to talk about Steve Carell's Brick Tamland and Kristen Wiig, who plays his love interest saying,

Brick's so far gone that you can't have a relationship with him. It takes a special someone to get a rope snare around his heart. She is dangerous!

This is going to be such a fun ensemble cast of comedic actors back on the screen together. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate are also all coming back. You can bet that they're going to have some great big cameos as well. It was previously revealed that it will partly be a musical, which it perfect for the New York setting.
