Graphic Novel THE SWORD to Be Adapted into a Feature Film
Lakeshore Entertainment has picked up the rights to a graphic novel called The Sword, a fantasy vengeance story created by Jonathan and Joshua Luna.
The action adventure film will follow a young paraplegic named Dara Brighton, whose family is brutally murdered by a mysterious trio. Dara escapes and discovers a magical sword that allows her to walk again and grants her physical powers. With her new weapon, she sets off to enact revenge on the assassins.
Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will be producing the film. Lakeshore is also responsible for bringing us the Underworld franchise, and they are also developing an adaptation of the comic book, I, Frankenstein.
