Armie Hammer Joins Tom Cruise In THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E

Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros has found a co-star for Tom Cruise in the Guy Ritchie directed remake of the 1960's TV show The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. Armie Hammer (The Social NetworkThe Lone Ranger) has been tasked with the job of being Mr. Cruise's sidekick. Here is a little synopsis of the TV show:

The original TV series ran from 1964-68, with Robert Vaughan and David McCallum playing Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, two agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement. With gadgets and their wits and charm, they fought the evil forces of Thrush.

It sounds like a lot of the same stuff that we have seen before. However, you really can't go wrong with Cruise in the lead. I have yet to see The Lone Ranger, so I am not too sure how Hammer will do in an action role. With Ritchie at the helm and the cast they've brought together, the film seems to be on the right course. It sounds like it could be a fun movie.

Do you think this is a movie that should be made, or do you think we have seen this too many time before?

Until next time...

Billy Out!
