Trailer for Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch's PRINCE AVALANCHE

Here's the trailer for director David Gordon Green's latest movie Prince Avalanche, which stars Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch. After making bigger studio films such as Pineapple Express, Your Highness, and The Sitter, Green went back to the basics to make this little indie comedy drama. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and Eli seemed to enjoy it, calling it "a smaller and sweeter comedy gem." Here's what he had to say about Rudd and Hirsch in his review,

Hirsch and Rudd aren't your typical comedic duo, but it's a dynamic that was executed superbly in the way Gordon Green tailored the roles for these actors, and how much freedom they were given to direct themselves at times and really explore their characters and push their performances.

It looks like a good movie, and one that is worth checking out. Here's the synopsis:

An odd couple of sorts, meditative and stern Alvin (Rudd) and his girlfriend’s brother, Lance (Hirsch), dopey and insecure, leave the city behind to spend the summer in solitude repainting traffic lines down the center of a country highway ravaged by wildfire. As they sink into their job in the remarkable landscape, they learn more than they want to about each other and their own limitations. An unlikely friendship develops through humor and nasty exchanges, leading to surprising affection.

The movie will be released in August of this year. Check out the trailer and let us know if this looks like a movie you'd want to see!
