Zoe Saldana to Play Gamora in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Finally we have some more casting news for Guardians of the Galaxy, and I think fans are going to like this one! Star Trek star Zoe Saldana is currently in talks for the James Gunn-directed film as the character Gamora. She looks to join Chris Pratt, who is playing Star-Lord, and Dave Bautista, who will be Drax the Destroyer.

Saldana is a solid actress and is fun to watch on the big screen, so I think she's a great choice to take on this character. She'd make an awesome addition to the cast of this epic space adventure.

If you're not familiar with the character, Gamora is the adopted daughter of the supervillain Thanos, and she's the last of her species. Her powers include superhuman strength and agility with an accelerated healing factor.

What do you think about Saldana taking on this role in the film? The plan is to start shooting the movie this June, and it will be released in theaters on August 1st, 2014. The next film we'll be seeing Saldana in is Star Trek Into Darkness.
