Alexander Skarsgard Rumored to Play THE CROW
Last week, we posted a bit of news about Tom Hiddleston trying to land the role of Eric Draven in Relativity Media's upcoming big screen reboot of James O'Barr's gothic comic book The Crow. According to a recent report from Deadline, it isn't entirely true, which is kind of a bummer. It seemed like fans really liked the idea of Hiddleston taking on the role. Apparently, he just had a conversation with the filmmakers about it, but he's not in the running.
The site is reporting that True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard could have the part if he wanted it though. They say he "is getting numerous offers since his plans to star for David Yates in Tarzan died on the vine when Warner Bros halted the project over budget. No formal offer yet, but it sounds to me like it’s Skarsgard’s role if he wants it in the F. Javier Gutierrez-directed film series relaunch."
I guess we'll see how that pans out. I like the idea of Hiddleston playing the character a lot more than Skarsgard, but I'm sure he could pull it off. I'm not sure if the character fits him.
What do you think about Skarsgard possibly playing The Crow?
