GRAND THEFT AUTO V - Spotlight Trailer for Michael, Franklin, & Trevor

The GTA series is known for many things: its open world gameplay, its balance of witty & slapstick humor (peep the Trevor screens for a look at the latter), and its often timely satiric take on current events. What it's also known for is taking characters I really shouldn't care less about and making me root for them, even if it's against my will. Frankly, the character of Trevor is everything I hate about people rolled into one person, and yet numerous times I can't help but laugh at his ridiculous times 11 personality. Rockstar knows how to reveal their games bit by bit, slowly building anticipation. While the game doesn't release till September 17, I can't help but want to play around in this fun and gorgeous world Rockstar has built. Peep the trailer below and see if you feel the same.

For all my quibbles with GTA IV, I still look back fondly at my time with it, and the same goes for GTA V. Sure, there is a part of me that would have preferred a female as one of the leads as I would love to see Rockstar's take on a leading lady. That doesn't, however, diminish my excitement to see what they do with Michael, Franklin, and yes, even Trevor, come September.
