New Banner for PACIFIC RIM and Poster for WORLD WAR Z
Warner Bros. has released a new banner for Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, and Paramount Pictures has released a new poster for Marc Forster's World War Z. Both movies look great, but I'm definitely more excited to see Pacific Rim. Paramount recently screened World War Z, and there's been a good amount of positive buzz, so that's good! I wasn't sure how it would turn out.
Pacific Rim - July 12th:
When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.
World War Z - June 21st:
Based on Max Brooks' best-selling novel "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War," the story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
