WHO Watch 2013: Family Friend of Rory Kinnear Quashes Next Doctor Rumors

As bookmakers suspend bets, and the whole world works up into a tizzy about the next Doctor being an unknown (surprise, surprise), we ask is Rory Kinnear the next Doctor? Supposed family friend of Kinnear, Liz Buckley, took to Twitter and denied his involvement in the project.

Everything in the papers about Rory Kinnear being asked to be the new Doctor is 100% bollocks, just so you know. He's a bit sick of it.

BBC backs this up, saying the hunt has just begun for the next Doctor in the series. Kinnear's camp remains quiet. For what it's worth his schedule is wide open on IMDB with his latest appearance on screen (Nick Frost's Cuban Fury) in post production. Does this mean the actor will be taking the spot as Doctor? Considering BBC has a very long time before they have to film the Christmas special I'm going to chock this up to a big fat "NO!"
