THE WORLD'S END - Virtual Pub Crawl and Comic-Con Events Announced

Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost are bringing their new movie, The World's End, to Comic-Con, and they are going to have a pretty strong presence. They will be holding a panel for the film on Friday July 19th, and afterwards they will have an early screening of the film. For those of you who want to attend that screening you must have to follow @TheGoldenMileCC on Twitter and keep up with a virtual pub crawl that launches on 12 of movie blogs today. It will introduce all 12 bars featured in the film, and each blog will reveal an exclusive bar banner. The first one below comes from Comingsoon.net.

Here are the details and a video announcing the event:

If you’re attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, check out The World’s End panel in Hall H on Friday, July 19th with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright.  Follow @TheGoldenMileCC to collect 12 limited edition Golden Mile trading cards, as featured in the online scavenger hunt, for a chance to see the film after the panel. The first fifty people to collect all twelve cards across the Gaslamp in San Diego will be guaranteed VIP admittance to the screening. For everyone else, it’s first come first serve.

And to keep up with the reveals of all twelve bars, keep an eye on The World’s End Facebook.

If you plan on attempting this... good luck!

The World’s End opens August 23 and here's the synopsis:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
