Next HULK Film to Be Based on INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK?

Movie HulkMarvel by Joey Paur

It's safe to assume that one day Marvel will make another stand-alone Hulk film, and I'm sure they've had several discussions on how they'll tackle it when they do. One thing is for sure, Mark Ruffalo will be back to reprise his role as Bruce Banner, and Marvel wants to utilize him, which is why we won't be seeing Planet Hulk or World War Hulk. Maybe they'll do it one day, but not while they have Ruffalo in a multi-film deal.

Now according to one of The Daily SuperHero's screenwriting sources (Via: CBM), who is apparently closely plugged into Marvel movie development process, the next Hulk sequel might be based on some of the Bruce Banner-specific ideas found in Marvel NOW's Indestructible Hulk  comic.

With the way the Marvel cinematic Universe is using S.H.I.E.L.D., it makes sense that they would go this route. In the new comic Hulk is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and Banner feels the need to give back to the world, so S.H.I.E.L.D. sets him up in a lab where he can develop ways to help the world. In exchange, S.H.I.E.L.D. gets to use Hulk whenever they need him. This will allow them to put a lot more focus on the Banner character.

I can easily see Marvel taking the Hulk in this direction, and when they decide to pull a trigger on another movie, this is what I'm expecting to see happen.

Here's a description of the comic:

Hulk: Indestructible force more weapon than man. Banner: Smartest man alive. Combined, they are the strongest, smartest weapon on the planet! And NOW!, the Indestructible Hulk is an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Hulk's first official missions include taking down the all-new Quintronic Man and battling Attuma on the ocean floor! But not everything is as it seems: What is Banner's secret hold over S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Maria Hill? What and where is Bannertown, USA? And which one of Banner's lab assistants holds a deadly secret? Plus: Bruce Banner and Tony Stark are friends but Hulk and Iron Man are anything but! The Golden Avenger guest-stars as Eisner Award-winning writer Mark Waid (DAREDEVIL) and superstar artist Leinil Yu take the Hulk in an all-new direction...NOW!
