I really enjoy the films that Sam Raimi makes, and Army of Darkness is one of my favorites. When I watched Oz The Great and Powerful, I never thought to compare it to Army of Darkness, but surprisingly, there are a lot of similarities between the two films. This video by YouTuber maddoxaom goes through and points out several of the almost shot-for-shot scenes. You can definitely see where Raimi got his inspiration. Oz is basically a family version of Army of Darkness. No wonder I liked Oz so much! Check out the video.
