AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and ROBOCOP Confirmed for Comic-Con!

Sony Pictures will officially bring Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Jose Padilha's Robocop reboot to San Diego Comic-Con later this month!

The Sony Panel will be held on Friday, July 19th in Hall H. An exact time has yet to be revealed. On top of having members of the cast and crews of these films coming in to talk about them and answer questions, it's safe to say that they will also be presenting the first footage from these movies, which I'm sure is going to get fans pumped up. I think both of these films are going to be a big hit with fans, and I predict that the Robocop remake is going to make one of the biggest impressions at the convention. I'm excited to see what they plan on giving us!

The studio is also planning on promoting some of their other films such as Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Those aren't as exciting as the two movies already mentioned, but there's an audience out there for these films as well.

Be sure to stay tuned because, like always, we'll be bringing you the best Comic-Con coverage on the internet.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field. Here's the official synopsis:

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Robocop Stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman as the scientist who creates RoboCop, and Samuel L. Jackson as media mogul Pat Novak. Here's the synopsis:

Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life.
