35-Foot Straw Dalek from DOCTOR WHO
While we patiently wait for the announcement of the new Doctor tomorrow, here's a few photos of a 35-foot-tall Dalek made of straw!
The Dalek was made for an ice cream shop called Snugbury's, which is known for making giant straw sculptures every year for the last 10 years. This is their most advanced one yet as it includes a moving head and the gun, and it also includes audio.
According to the Chester Chronicle, the sculpture was almost gonna be the Royal baby! The Dalek looks so much cooler.
"This was the idea that was suggested most by customers, particularly with the anniversary in mind.
"The Royal baby was a contender too, but this was the most popular choice, and we thought it would look pretty cool too."
Snugbury's has been erecting its giant straw sculptures for more than 10 years, but this one is by far the most advanced yet.
