TEKKEN TAG 2 - Jun Kazama Kotobukiya Bishoujo

Kotobukiya by Matthew Mueller

Kotobukiya keeps 'em coming, and latest up in their Tekken Tag Bishoujo line is Jun Kazama (mother of Jin Kazama). This is one of those entries that really doesn't have much costume to speak of, and while I get that this is a sexier line of statues, the costume changes they made are all for the worse. Its pretty non-existent, and because it's so scant there isn't really any design to speak of, so the statue ends up being a bit bland. The scarf is nicely sculpted, and Koto knocks it out in the hair department, but other than that there is not much going on here that sets Jun apart from any other anime-ish statue, and that's not the character's fault. The base costume featured in the latest Tekken Tag would have allowed for more detail to be added to the statue, something Kotobukiya excels at.

While Koto's normal quality standards are in place, its just a rather bland addition to the line. If Jun is a favorite of yours however, then all my words just sounded like garbled static, so you can preorder yours for the normal Bishoujo price point of $70, and expect to add it to your collection in March of 2014. Who are you hoping to see featured in the line next?
