Check out this amazing, fan-made Assassin's Creed short film called "Checkmate." The short was inspired by the upcoming video game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It was written and directed by Joe Miale, and it features the main character, Edward Kenway, trying to figure out what his move is going to be in a deadly situation he's found himself in. Here's the short synopsis:

1700's Caribbean. When Assassin Edward Kenway stumbles upon a robbery in progress he has only a split second to make his killer move. Watch the action of Assassin's Creed from a whole new perspective.
