Josh Brolin Supports Batffleck

In a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Josh Brolin confirmed that he too was up for the role of The Caped Crusader in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. The Post asked Brolin if he'd had conversations with Zack Snyder, the director of the film, about being Batman, Brolin responded

"We did. I didn't have conversations about it, but Zack, that was part of his idea. It just didn't turn out. It's OK. It is OK. You know, another scenario might have worked better, but I'm happy for Ben."

As everyone with an internet connection knows, Ben Affleck has been awarded the role of Batman, and on the night and day following the huge announcement, the internet erupted in a fury of hatred for the casting decision. Josh Brolin had this to say about the internet reaction,

"I just feel for anybody who gets lambasted at that level. I want him to kick ass and I want everyone to love it and kind of eat their words."

Personally. I think it was incredibly kind of him to go out on a limb and support Ben. He didn't have to say those nice things about him, but he did. That's quite rare in Hollywood, believe it or not.

What did you guys think of Mr. Brolin's reaction? Do you agree? Disagree? Let us know your opinions in the comments.
