3 New TV Spots For THE DARK TOWER Have Been Unleashed and They've Got Cool Footage
We've got three new TV spots for the highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower for you to check out today. Each one of them offers a bit of new footage from the film for you to enjoy. I also included a couple new character posters as well featuring Idris Elba as The Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black.
There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings among fans regarding the film. Some people are really excited, while others aren't really feelin' it and they aren't getting their hopes up. I personally really like what I'm seeing from the film so far and if Stephen King likes what they've done with it, there's a good chance that I'll like it to.
The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.
The film is being directed by Nikolaj Arcel and it also stars Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Tirana; Fran Kranz (The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli, the right hand man of Randall Flagg; Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen); Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) and Claudia Kiim (Avengers: Age of Ultron).
The Dark Tower hits theaters this summer on August 4, 2017.
