3D ESCAPE ROOM: FREQUENCY is an Upcoming Interactive Podcast

Interactive entertainment is on the rise. Netflix is generating more interactive content like You vs. Wild and Battle Kitty after seeing success with Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Escape Rooms are also a popular activity for groups of friends to test their friendship and puzzle-solving skills.

Now, The Owl Field is creating an interactive podcast based on the premise of Escape Rooms. The podcast, called 3D Escape Room: Frequency, will use 3D audio to immerse listeners and let them feel like they’re in an Escape Room and gives them 60 minutes to solve all the puzzles. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how interactive audio works, but I’m definitely intrigued.

Escape rooms are booming in popularity with approximately three thousand live rooms worldwide, and for those who have yet to have an opportunity to try one, this free podcast requires only a pair of headphones and can be played either solo or in a group. The audio-based puzzles also provide a fresh challenge for even the most seasoned escape room enthusiast.

3D Escape Room features over 20 voice actors and will be released in full on April 8. You can check out the trailer on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Is this a podcast you’ll be checking out?
