4 Accessories Announced for POWER RANGERS ROLEPLAYING GAME at Renegade Con Virtual

Over this last weekend, Renegade Game Studios hosted Renegade Con Virtual. A lot of awesome things were announced and in this article, we’ll be focusing on 4 new accessories announced for the Power Rangers RPG. I’m still working on my review for the game (I have a lot of thoughts) but overall, I think it’s really cool. The first accessory is a 4-part adventure called Adventures in Angel Grove. This is designed to be played by itself or as a continuation of a game that started with the Fool’s Errand adventure in the Core Rulebook followed by Glutton for Punishment that comes with the GM screen. This book is set to launch in the second quarter of 2022 and is available for pre-order now from Renegade for $45.

In Adventures in Angel Grove, Rita Repusla’s forces are attacking Angel Grove, as always, but this time something’s REALLY gone haywire! People are missing from all over the city, Zords are on the fritz, and it seems like even Rita doesn’t know what’s gone wrong!

The second item is the Glutton for Punishment Accessory Pack. This pack features full-color cardboard standees and stat cards for all the enemies in the Fool’s Errand and Glutton for Punishment adventures. There are also 10 full-color map tiles for you to use. This is set to release in quarter three of 2022 and can be pre-ordered for $40. I’ll be honest. This sounds like a high price, but with all the problems in the world right now, there’s probably a reason for this. That being said, these standees, maps, and cards sound like a fantastic addition to the game. It’s a shame we couldn’t have them at the game’s launch.

Third, we have the Character Journal which features a lovely foil-embossed hardcover on the outside and an expanded character sheet on the inside along with room for you to take plenty of notes through your adventures. There are also character creation prompts and history pages to help give you that spark you need. This will launch in the second quarter of 2022 and can be pre-ordered for $21.99.

Finally, this is an item that many are not terribly happy with. The Hero Miniatures Set 1. Releasing in the second quarter of 2022 and available to pre-order for $55, this pack comes with 12 miniatures. Using the 28mm size that’s standard for RPGs and unpainted, ready for your touch to bring your unique character to life, the minis look great. However, this feels like a bit of a misstep in my opinion. The figures look great (it appears they used the same or at least very similar models as the ones for Heroes of the Grid) but one of the great things about Power Rangers RPG is creating your own custom Ranger. These miniatures are just the characters from the show with no variation. I don’t know if this is possible or if it’s in the works or whatever, but I think many of us would’ve preferred a custom creation tool similar to Eldritch Foundry and Hero Forge. Here’s what the first pack comes with:

  • MMPR “Black Ranger”

  • MMPR “Blue Ranger”

  • MMPR “Green Ranger”

  • MMPR “Pink Ranger”

  • MMPR “Red Ranger”

  • MMPR “White Ranger”

  • MMPR “Yellow Ranger”

  • Zeo “Blue Ranger”

  • Zeo “Pink Ranger”

  • Zeo “Red Ranger”

  • Turbo “Green Ranger”

  • Turbo“Yellow Ranger”
