Video Points Out 57 Easter Eggs and References in THE MANDALORIAN Trailer

Wasn’t that trailer for Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian series awesome!? I don’t know about you, but I’ve been watching it over and over again because I just can’t get enough of it!

Well, thanks to ScreenCrush, we have a video here for you to watch that dives into the trailer and points out 57 Easter eggs and references to the rest of the Star Wars universe. Some of the stuff is obvious, but they might point out something that you may have missed.

There are definitely a lot of details that show off the setting of the story, which takes place after Return of the Jedi.

The #StarWars #Mandalorian trailer is here! The new #Disney+ flagship series takes place 7 years after the #BattleofEndor. In this video we break down every reference to the original trilogy, #BobaFett, #Rebels, and the #CloneWars. What does life look like in the years following the collapse of the Empire?

The series stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) as “a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.” It also includes Gina Carano (Deadpool) as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers (Predator) as Greef Carga, Omid Abtahi (American Gods) as Dr. Pershing, Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), as well as Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, and Emily Swallow in undisclosed roles, and Taika Waititi as the voice of the droid IG-11.

Here’s the synopsis:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Jon Favreau wrote the series, acts as the showrunner, and is an executive producer. Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) is directing the first episode and serving as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Additional directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

The Mandalorian will debut on Disney+ on November 12th, 2019.
