A Disturbing Secret Trailer For HBO's WESTWORLD Has Been Released
Yesterday HBO dropped the full trailer for Westworld Season 2 and it certainly got fans like myself incredibly excited for what is to come! Turns out that this trailer sent fans down another viral marketing rabbit hole.
The latest trailer for the series included a code that leads fans to another viral site where there is another secret trailer for the series that awaits fans, and it's kinda disturbing. I don't know how some fans find this stuff, but luckily for us that don't have those eagle eyes, they shared their find on Reddit.
The promo is basically a marketing video for Delos Inc., which is the company that oversees Westworld. The video starts off pleasantly enough but things start to glitch and escalate into madness.
It was also confirmed by EW that Pacific Rim star Rinko Kikuchi has joined the series and she will be playing a character named Akane. She plays a geisha character in the show’s mysterious ShogunWorld.
Based on the film written by best-selling author Michael Crichton (ER, Jurassic Park films), Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and a reimagined past, the series explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
Westworld Season 2 stars Ed Harris as The Man in Black and Tessa Thompson as Charlotte Hale, Thandie Newton as Maeve, Simon Quarterman as Lee Sizemore, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, James Marsden as Teddy, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, and more.
The J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan produced series will be released on HBO on April 22. Season 2 will consist of ten-episodes.
