I’ve got a great video here for you to watch from GQ that features former Navy fighter pilot Matthew “Whiz” Buckley discussing and breaking down flying scenes in the movies!
Some of the movies he talks about include Top Gun, Pearl Harbor, and Behind Enemy Lines. He explains what is accurate about the flying scenes in these movies and the situations that the pilots find themselves in. He also points out all of the things that don’t make sense in real life when flying planes and jets.
