A Fourth xXx Movie is in The Works with Vin Diesel and Director D.J. Caruso
Vin Diesel's xXx action film franchise will continue with a fourth film in the franchise. The H Collective has announced that they have acquired the rights to the franchise from Revolution Studios and they will produce the next film and any other xXx films moving forward.
Vin Diesel is set to reprise his role in the film as Xander Cage and D.J. Caruso (xXx: Return of Xander Cage, I Am Number Four, Disturbia) will return to direct it.
The H Collective CEO Nic Crawley had this to say in a statement:
"During my time at Paramount I was lucky to be involved in the development and distribution of ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage.’ The response from the Chinese box office was unprecedented. Bringing the next installment of the xXx franchise to The H Collective complements our diversified slate and mission to produce content for a global audience."
I never really got into the xXx films, but there's certainly a huge fan base that do love the films that the studio will be able to capitalize on. Apparently, a lot of those fans are in China! The last film that was made only brought in $44 million domestically, but the total worldwide intake was over $346 million.
Production on the fourth xXx film is set to begin in December 2018. Are you excited to hear that we'll be getting a fourth xXx movie!?
