A FRIENDS Reunion Special Is Coming Together with the Cast at HBO Max

There’s been a lot of talk regarding a Friends reunion, and according to Deadline, it’s actually coming together at HBO Max. The Friends reunion special will be unscripted, and all of the main stars are expected to be a part of it.

After, what are said to be “tough negotiations,” Friends stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry “have reached an agreement in principle with series producer Warner Bros. TV to do what I hear would be an hourlong special.”

According to the report, each of the six stars will be paid in the $3 million-$4 million range for appearing in the special. The total amount of money spent on talent is said to be about $20 million. That’s a lot of money! But I guess Warner Media thinks it’s worth it. I love the series Friends, but I don’t really need to see the gang get back together in a reunion special.

Just to get them together to talk about the show and share stories about their time being a part of it doesn’t really interest me. But I know that lots of other fans will be interested, which is why they are really pushing for this to happen.

It’s been interesting to see how the popularity of the series resurged after it hit Netflix with a younger generation discovering and watching it for the first time.
