A Group of Mutants Have a Rough Night in The First 6-Minutes of The X-MEN Series THE GIFTED

Fox has released the first six minutes of the Bryan Singer-directed pilot episode of the upcoming X-Men-inspired series, The Gifted. The clip doesn't feature the main cast of characters that make up the Strucker family. However, the clip certainly sets the tone of the series and offers us a look at some familiar mutants, who are having a rough night as they are being hunted down by the police. The clip centers on the characters Blink (Jamie Chung), Polaris (Emma Dumont), Thunderbird (Blair Redford), and a new mutant created for the series named Eclipse (Sean Teale).

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The Gifted was developed by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) who wrote the series' pilot episode that Singer directed. They are both producing the film alongside longtime X-Men movie producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg as well as Marvel TV head, Jeph Loeb.

The series has a great cast that includes Blair Redford, Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, and Coby Bell.

The Gifted premieres on Fox October 2.
