A Group of Teenage Girls Are Stranded on a Deserted Island in Trailer for Amazon's THE WILDS

Amazon has released a trailer for a new survival series titled The Wilds. The story follows a group of teen girls from different backgrounds as they are forced to fight for survival after a plane crash leaves them stranded on a deserted island.

It’s explained that “the castaways both clash and bond as they learn more about each other, the secrets they keep, and the traumas they've all endured. There’s just one twist to this thrilling drama… these girls did not end up on this island by accident.”

I’m not sure what exactly it means that the girls did not end up on the island by accident, but one of the girls mentions that the island feels off and then they also question if they are in the Bermuda triangle. I’m not really seeing anything supernatural, but who knows, maybe some of that is going to be in there.

I will say, the end of the trailer leads me to speculate that the parents of these girls are in on what has happened to their kids. Like this is some kind of survival program that they signed their kids up for to teach them life lessons? I don’t know. Watch the trailer for yourself and let me know what you think.

The Wilds was created by Sarah Streicher (Daredevil), and it stars Rachel GriffithsSophia AliShannon BerryJenna ClauseReign EdwardsMia HealeyHelena HowardErana JamesSarah PidgeonDavid Sullivan, and Troy Winbush.
