A Herd of Sheep Solve a Murder in Trailer for Hugh Jackman's SHEEP DETECTIVES
A new trailer has been released for the live-action movie Sheep Detectives, starring Hugh Jackman as a shepherd who cares for his flock of sheep so lovingly that he not only feeds and sheers them, but he also reads them murder mysteries every evening before bed.
This has honed their mystery solving skills so well that when he turns up dead, they know what they have to do to make it right.
The sheep are voiced by an all-star cast that includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Veep), Patrick Stewart (Star Trek, X-Men), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Regina Hall (Jerry Maguire), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords), and Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso). The live-action cast also includes Nicholas Braun (Succession), who plays the hapless policeman on the case, as well as Nicholas Galitzine (The Idea of You), Molly Gordon (The Bear), Hong Chau (Watchmen), and Emma Thompson (Harry Potter, Love Actually).
This looks absolutely delightful. It comes out on Mother’s Day weekend, and I think it would be a ton of fun to see with the fam to celebrate.
Check out the trailer below, and watch The Sheep Detectives in theaters on May 8, 2026.
