A HEROES Reboot Is in Development From Creator Tim Kring

Heroes creator Tim Kring is developing a reboot of the classic 2006 superhero series, which will be titled Heroes: Eclipsed.

Heroes: Eclipsed is set “years after the events of the original series as new evos are being awakened and discovering powers that will change their lives.”

The series will also feature “familiar villains and new enemies who once again will be attempting to suppress this next step in human evolution, it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world.”

The new version of the series does not have a home at the moment and is currently shopped around Hollywood. This is all going down the week of the solar eclipse.

I’m sure you all remember the original series kicked off with a solar eclipse in the pilot, and that ended up becoming a recurring theme throughout the series.

I enjoyed the original Heroes series! It kind of fizzled out at the end, and then there was the 2015 limited series Heroes Reborn, which was ok. It would be great if King could actually improve on what came before, but that hardly ever happens. We’ll just have to wait and see how this turns out!

It’s an interesting time to try and reboot a project like this when superhero projects are currently in a state of fatigue.

What do you think about Heroes being rebooted?
