A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS Blooper Reel Proves Dunk and Egg Are Just as Fun Off-Screen
Just when we’d finally settled into our Sunday night ritual with Dunk and Egg, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms wrapped up its first season and left a Westeros-sized hole in our lives.
The good news is Season 2 is already in production. The even better news is HBO dropped a hilarious blooper reel that reminds us why we love this series in the first place.
The blooper reel for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms clocks in at just about two minutes, and I wish it was longer. It’s packed with broken character moments, missed lines, and perfectly timed laughter that makes the cast feel like a group of friends playing around in Westeros.
One of the biggest scene stealers is Daniel Ings, who plays Ser Lyonel Baratheon. Watching Ings repeatedly crack up mid-scene is pure fun The man simply cannot keep it together, and every time he loses it, the rest of the cast follows. It’s the kind of chaos you hope for in a blooper reel.
Then there’s Peter Claffey as Dunk. If you weren’t already fully on board with this towering, earnest knight, the outtakes will seal the deal. Seeing Claffey laugh at himself and embrace Dunk’s awkward charm makes the character even more lovable.
It’s also been announced that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season hits Blu-ray, DVD, and UHD on June 16. The physical release includes all six episodes along with a bunch of bonus content that digs deeper into the world of Dunk and Egg.
The extras include the blooper reel itself, plus featurettes titled “Building A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” and “Welcome to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.” Fans will also get the full web series “A Knight in the Making” and the weekly “Inside the Episode” installments.
There’s even an Ashford Meadow set tour hosted by Egg himself, Dexter Sol Ansell, and character spotlight pieces focused on Dunk and Egg.
If you’ve been craving more Seven Kingdoms content, this blooper reel is a fun reminder that even in a world filled with tourneys, rival houses, and political tension, there’s always room for a good laugh.
