Futuristic films present us with different versions of what the future might hold...at least according to those cinematic predictions. But that's why they are so interesting. They allow us to travel through time and space. We can experience what we might never really experience and we can see worlds and creations that might never really be seen or created.

There are representations that vary from post-apocalyptic “unreal realities” to hi-tech outlooks of the world as we don’t know it (yet). Some of them manage to shock us or make us wonder, while others fail to surprise us and bore us instead.

Putting together a number of scenes of movies that look to the future, Robert Jones commemorates dozens of classic and modern-day futuristic films.
