A New Featurette Has Been Released For Disney's CHRISTOPHER ROBIN and It's Sweet as Honey
Early this week a new trailer was released for Disney's wonderful looking film Christopher Robin, which is inspired by the stories of Winnie The Pooh and his friends. Disney has since released a featurette for the film called "Legacy" and it includes interviews with the cast and crew talking about the film and the characters that fill it. It also includes some footage from the film. Watch this just makes me want to see the movie even more. It looks like the creative team did such an amazing job telling this story.
The story is set in the year 1949, and Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) is "an efficiency manager at a luggage company, tasked with finding the resources to prevent many of his workers from being laid off. That will mean missing the vacation he has planned with his wife, Evelyn (Hayley Atwell), and young daughter, Madeline (Bronte Carmichael). They’re heading to the Hundred Acre Wood while he’s stuck in London with work, when he gets a visit from his old friend Pooh. But he’s not the same person Pooh remembers."
Christopher Robin was directed by Marc Forster (World War Z) and it also stars Mark Gatiss as Keith Winslow, Robin’s boss. As far as the voices of the characters go, Jim Cummings plays Winnie the Pooh; Chris O’Dowd plays Tigger; Brad Garrett plays Eeyore; Toby Jones plays Owl; Nick Mohammed plays Piglet; Peter Capaldi plays Rabbit; and Sophie Okonedo plays Kanga.
The movie will be released in theaters on August 3rd.
