A New JACKASS Series Is Being Developed for Paramount+

I’ve got some exciting news for all you Jackass fans out there as a new Jackass Series is in development for Paramount+, and the original creators are leading the charge on the project. The news comes after the super successful release of Jackass Forever, which was hilarious!

Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said during the company’s Q1 earnings call: “Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+.”

The original Jackass series ran on MTV for three mini-seasons from 2000 to 2001, and that led to a series of films that have been entertaining fans over the years.

There are no details on the series, but I imagine it will include a mix of classic cast members with some of the new faces that made their big debut in Jackass Forever. Johnny Knoxville is one of the creators, but I don’t think we’ll be seeing him do any stunts. He previously said in an interview that he’s done with that saying:

“Those were big [stunts], and could end as badly. Or worse. I’ve done enough. I don’t have anything to prove. I have kids to raise. That’s the most important thing.”

The rest of the cast that was featured in Jackass Forever includes Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy, as well as the new crew including Rachel Wolfson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney and Jasper Dolphin. I have a feeling that the new series will put more of a focus on the new members of the cast.

While we wait for more details on the series, Jackass 4.5, which features lots of extra footage that shot during the making of Jackass Forever, will be released May 20th on Netflix.
