A New SLEEPY HOLLOW Movie is Being Developed By Director Lindsey Beer For Paramount Pictures

Paramount Pictures is producing a new Sleepy Hollow film with Lindsey Beer (Pet Sematary) set to write and direct. The legend of Sleepy Hollow centers around a headless horseman who terrorizes a small town and its newest resident, Ichabod Crane.

I’ve always loved this story and we’ve seen several iterations of it over the years. My two favorites are the classic 1949 Disney animated The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Tim Burton’s 1999 movie, which starred Johnny Depp. That’s a great movie! No matter how this new film turns out, it’s going to be compared to that one, which set a high bar for that story.

No details have been revealed for Sleepy Hollow, but it’s safe to say that it will involve a headless horseman terrorizing a small community.

I think Beer will do a decent job. I liked what she did with the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. She also worked on the new Star Trek film and also wrote a script for a remake of Disney’s Bambi, and a Hello Kitty movie for New Line Cinema. She is also serving as writer and showrunner on several projects including showrunner and creator for Netflix’s The Magic Order, based on the comics by Mark Millar.

What do you think about Lindsey Beer directing a new Sleepy Hollow film for Paramount? I wish her the best of luck and hope she makes a great film!
